ROKiT British F4 unveils Omologato as Official Timing Partner

The ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA is delighted to announce Omologato as the series’ Timing Partner for the 2022 season.

As part of the new partnership, a bespoke Omologato watch will be presented to the driver who claims pole position at each of the ten events in 2022.

The agreement with Omologato to become ROKiT British F4’s official timing partner follows recent high-profile announcements for the championship, including a brand-new Tatuus chassis, Abarth engines and Pirelli tyres. In addition, seven teams have also confirmed their presence for the junior single-seater series that is the globally recognised elite pathway to the pinnacle of motorsport.

Omologato’s new deal with the championship is the latest in a series of prestigious tie-ups the UK-based company has within the sport. They sponsor the F4 and Formula Regional Championships in the US, famous circuits such as Monza, Imola and Watkins Glen. The specialist timepiece has also partnered with teams including Arrow McLaren SP and Rick Ware Racing in IndyCar, Formula E teams and top professionals Derek Bell, Johnny Herbert and Jack Harvey amongst others.

As official timing partner to British F4, Omologato has a shared philosophy in helping develop the next generation of Formula 1 stars. Omologato’s passion for motorsport in conjunction with F4’s status as the proving ground for young driving talent will be recognised at each event next season, when the driver achieving pole position will be presented with a bespoke Omologato timepiece.

Shami Kalra, founder of Omologato said: “It’s well documented that I am a motorsport fan.  Having a company that is dedicated to it and being able to use some profits from Omologato to support the sport is an absolute privilege”

Hugh Chambers, CEO of Motorsport UK said: “We are very excited to forge this new relationship with Omologato, a company that has clearly demonstrated their passion for motorsport, as the official timing partner of the ROKiT F4 British Championship from 2022.

“The Omologato Pole Position Award forms another key element in our prize structure to these young drivers; prizes that are designed to reward their development and enrich the experience of racing in this championship.”

“Next season marks a fresh start for British Formula 4 with a brand-new chassis and engine package and I’m delighted to welcome Omologato, a partner that is passionate about motorsport, to be part of the championship as official timing partner.”

Founded in 2015, Omologato have quickly established themselves as one of the pre-eminent watch brands in the world of racing. Founder Shami Kalra is a lifelong motorsport enthusiast who has developed hand-made timepieces inspired by four and two-wheel competition. Taken from the Italian language, Omologato simply means Homologated or ‘Ready to Race’. The company’s ethos is ingrained with chronographs incorporating design cues that reflect the true spirit of motor racing.

For the next three years, starting in 2022, the F4 British Championship will be organised by Motorsport UK, the governing body and membership organisation for UK motorsport. So far seven of the world’s leading single-seater teams – Argenti, Carlin, Chris Dittmann Racing, Fortec, Hitech GP, JHR Developments and Virtuosi Racing – have become the first to commit to British F4 in 2022.

The series will continue to include 30 races over 10 weekends as part of the British Touring Car Championship support package, giving F4’s official timing partner Omologato an unrivalled platform to showcase the brand in front of capacity trackside crowds and on free-to-air ITV television coverage.
