Track Details
World-famous as the host venue of the Formula 1 ® British Grand Prix, Silverstone’s National circuit is simple in its design – ‘three straights, three corners’ – but never fails to deliver a bumper weekend of on-track action.
Drivers kick off the lap on the National pits straight, before diving into the fast right-hander at Copse. Tackling the first part of the Maggotts/Becketts sequence, drivers then turn right at the Hairpin and head at full throttle down the Wellington Straight.
This offers plenty of chances to slipstream the car in front, and a brave move to the inside on the brakes at Brooklands and Luffield is a common sight from the grandstands lining the circuit! Then it’s the short run through Woodcote and back to the line.
