Biography

Chris Dittmann Racing is excited to announce that British teenager Bart Harrison will be joining the team for the 2024 season, as he takes the step up from karting to compete in the ROKiT F4 British Championship.

The 16-year-old first caught the racing bug aged five after an outing to an indoor karting track, with racing quickly becoming an obsession for the youngster. Joining Fusion Motorsport in 2017, Bart continued to grow on track, gaining knowledge and speed which helped him ascend the ranks.

In 2019, he stepped up into the Mini X30 category, racing across Europe collecting trophies and wins along the way. After a move to Mick Barrett Racing in 2020, Bart became the only driver to win back-to-back Winter Cup titles in Valencia and was selected to represent Great Britain in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy in 2021. Racing in the competitive X30 senior category since 2022, Bart has shown incredible talent and speed, and that he is more than ready to take his first step into single-seaters in 2024.

Bart has completed several pre-season test days in the Tatuus T-421 with the Tewksbury outfit, impressing with his quick progress behind the wheel. He will benefit from a robust training program with the team, with decades of combined experience in the sport helping to make his jump from karts to cars as successful as possible.

The 2024 F4 British Championship season begins at Donington Park over the weekend of April 27/28 and promises to be another fiercely competitive year for the championship, with the new addition of the first overseas race at Zandvoort in July.

“Taking this step up into single-seaters is a massive change, so it’s going to take some time to adapt to that, but I’m really excited. I hope that together with Chris Dittmann Racing, we can have a really successful year.

We made a lot of progress during the test days I did with the team earlier this year. I enjoyed every moment of it, which is very important. I progressed the most within myself and on the timing screens when I was with Chris Dittmann Racing, so I knew they were going to be the right fit for me going into the F4 British Championship.

Stepping into the car for the first time, it was a huge change from what I’m used to. It took about five days for me to start feeling more in control of the car. We’ll see how the first round at Donington Park goes, but I’m feeling confident. I’ve been working really hard on my preparation for 2024, so I think we’ll surprise a lot of people.
